The Ocean House in Rhode Island is continuing to offer their Veuve Clicquot Fondue Village Dining Experience now through May 2, 2021. Now in its 3rd year, this private Alpine dining experience has added a breakfast and afternoon crêpe service too.
I just enjoyed their Après Ski Fondue Lunch, which is a 4-course fondue experience where you dine in vintage ski gondolas decked out in cozy woods and Alpine decor. Each course can be paired with Veuve Clicquot champagnes. It was the perfect way to safely spend a winter afternoon.
The Ocean House is always a joy to visit and I can’t wait to share what else I took part in there with you soon. Today, I wanted to show you the Fondue Village experience.
Here are some photos from my Après Ski Fondue Experience…
The North Lawn at the Ocean House becomes transformed into a Swiss Alps inspired private dining experience. Each of the three Vermont vintage gondolas are outfitted with warm woods, fine Alpine textiles, and imported Swiss and Austrian decor and china.
Your personal server brings each course out to you while you stay in the comfort of your gondola. The floors are heated and electric blankets are provided to keep you extra cozy during your meal. I smiled looking at all the details in our gondola. My Grandparents had that same cuckoo clock hanging in their house when I was little.
Each course is served to perfection and I recommend adding some Swiss hot chocolate to your dessert service to enjoy outside around the fire with your party.
It was such a lovely afternoon and I want to come back with Topher for a day date to try the crêpe service. A perfect experience for couples or a small gathering of family or friends.
A portion of all the proceeds from the Fondue Village will help benefit the Ocean House Fund for Charitable Giving.
