Happy May! Every month, I like to give a little insight into what I’ll be sharing in the days ahead. With New England looking lush and green once again, it’s been so nice to be outdoors so much and head down to the shore again. The temps are warming up and with that comes some fun travel this month.
Here’s a glimpse at May sharing…
TRAVEL
Topher and I will be visiting Kennebunkport this month. It’s become one of our favorite New England towns to spend time in every season. May is a fantastic time to visit because the weather starts to get nice and there aren’t a lot of crowds yet. I can’t wait to share the inn we are staying at and highlight some of our favorites along the way.
Some other travel stops closer to home will be the Ocean House in Watch Hill and a few coastal Connecticut stops along the way.
STYLE
Summer collections are being released and I will be sharing pieces that fit coastal travels and lean more classic. I’m so thrilled to partner this month with brands I’ve shopped for years and highlight apparel that is offered in tall sizing too. I’ve battled clothes not fitting right my whole life being taller in stature at 5’11”. So, I always want to share brands with you that work for us taller women too.
Growing up, The Gap in the late 80’s and early 90’s was the only place I could buy tall jeans. It’s been so great to see so many retailers in the past 30 years keep embracing this need in the marketplace. So, I’ll always try to be a resource for tall lengths in jeans, blazers, swimwear, pajamas, dresses and more!
The great thing is if you are lucky enough to be average height or petite, everything I share in tall sizing is already offered in regular and petite sizing too!
INTERIORS
This month, we are getting the ball rolling on our home renovation of our first floor. There’s been a lot of planning and selections made over the past couple of months. The last of the “unseen projects”, the new central air system, just got installed and now we are prepping for the ugly demo portion of these projects. Taking out walls, ripping up floors, continuing to remove wallpaper…it’s going to be a mess here this month-haha!
I may have timed this right considering we will at least be able to spend more time outdoors and we are hitting our beautiful travel season…I might need an escape soon as the house gets ripped apart!
Catch up with Kristy…
