Recent Fall Fashion Finds

This week, the air has been crisp and it has me very excited for fall in a few weeks. Some of my favorite retailers released some new fall fashion finds for 2024. One thing I am loving is that classic is taking center stage. In the world of denim, even though cropped wide leg jeans are everywhere, there really is a great selection of everything this season. I don’t think the wide leg jeans look good on me (they seem to shorten and widen on most body types), so I’m happy to find new straight leg, boot-cut, and skinny jean styles are back in the line-up for fall. I always have a few skinny pairs for wearing with tall boots.

Here’s some new fall outfit finds and I’ll round-up the denim I’m liking right now too.

To note…

Classic and prep are always my go-to year round. Sometimes, I like a trend and play along, but for the most part, I know what I feel best in and that’s always tried and true styles. This year, I was happy to see a return of my favorite straight leg corduroy pants (they come in tall too), a variation on these cashmere cable knit vests (love!), and my go-to fall midi skirt is on sale for a limited time in some great colors.

These button collar sweatshirts are so great to wear with work out leggings for another layer when walking or running outside when the temps dip. I like that they are cute enough under a jacket for school pick-up and running errands too.

I just added these cotton twill trench coats to my fall closet. I have a classic good quality waterproof trench, but I love these lighter weight twill ones for another fall jacket. They are even better in person. I’m really liking this double-breasted sweater jacket too. The gray and navy is catching my eye. I might have to get that one this year.

New shirting finds… I like the option of a mid sleeve blouse this time of year, like this plaid one or this denim one. Also, this cashmere cable knit short sleeve top is a great fall layering piece. This tie neck white blouse is on my list to order. The details are really pretty on the collar and sleeves.

Sweater weather will be here before we know it, and this tan and red turtleneck sweater is really cute and a great price.

For shoes, I need to replace my horse bit mules this year and these horse bit slip-on loafers are a great option and come in an array of leathers and fabrics. This suede heeled loafer reminds me of one I had in college that I loved many years ago.

Classic denim available in tall sizing

I can’t wait to officially switch over my closet to fall. It’s always my favorite time of the year for clothing.

Happy Fall Planning,

Kristy
