We just returned back home from a mid-June stay at The Brant Nantucket for a couples weekend together. Here’s all the details on this charming retreat hotel right in the center of town, and the places we shopped, dined, and enjoyed this trip. Think of this as your romantic weekend guide on the island.
June on Nantucket is a really nice month to visit the island. It’s still considered shoulder season, that time before the big crowds come in for summer vacations. The island starts to come back to life this time of year with those early rose blooms, stores and restaurants are open once again, and the crowds are smaller. The weather can be a mix. Our first day was absolute perfection and warm, the next day colder and it rained a lot, and our last day it was partly sunny with cooler than normal temps. You’ll want to pack a rain coat, good walking shoes, and layers if you are visiting in June.
Here’s all the details from our June trip…
Stay
We truly loved our stay at The Brant. It’s perfect for couples. If you love quiet luxury, thoughtful amenities, beautiful interiors, and a very warm Nantucket welcome, this is the place.

The Brant is located in the Brant Point neighborhood, just a short walk from the ferry terminals. The grounds are well done with plenty of hydrangea plantings, walkways, shell paths, a new pool & deck, and a fire pit. Guest amenities include: e-bikes and beach cruisers, beach chairs and towels, umbrellas for those rainy Grey Lady days, and breakfast every morning.

The Barn is the reception where you check-in. There is a full bar with a rosé flight, and specialty cocktails and mocktails. Also, they offer an espresso menu. This is where you enjoy your breakfast each morning too. It is a nice spread with fresh berries, chia coconut yogurt, croissant sandwiches, pastries, coffee, and juice.

The suites are spacious and well-appointed. I am a very picky traveler and the bed and shower situation is a make or break for me. Happy to report the beds and showers are heaven. Our room’s common area had a kitchenette with a fully stocked beverage fridge and snack station, table and chairs, and a sitting area with a television. The bedroom had a walk-out patio, a very cozy king bed, and plenty of storage with two closets and dressers. The bathroom had a walk-in shower and stocked with Further bath products, spa robes, and slippers.

The Brant is a lovely place to reset and relax after your island adventures with a top-notch staff. Everyone was so helpful, and made our stay really special. This is a must add to your Nantucket places to stay list. We loved having the bikes to use, and many of them had baskets. That is always a great amenity when we stay on the island. Also, the pool and bar were so nice to enjoy during our down time. Everything we could possibly need or want was already there. A gem right in the heart of town.

Many thanks to the lovely staff at The Brant. We loved our time with you!
