August is always a time to plan for the upcoming fall and back to school season. I love to see the first glimpses of fall hit my favorite stores. I find myself wanting to buy candles, hand soaps, new household needs, and a few fallish items this time of year. It’s always a good month to reset the house for the upcoming busy school and work season too. Here’s my latest finds for August…

to note…
Cider candle in copper pot
I love Thymes candles, and this simmered cider candle smells like fall on the orchard. The copper pot is such a nice touch, and I love seeing it on the kitchen counter. I have the diffuser oil too. Such a great scent for now through October.
New Sneakers
I just stopped into Anthropologie and picked up these New Balance sneakers with the burgundy logo. They are are great walking shoe, and the touch of burgundy is perfect for fall. The 327’s are incredibly comfortable.
Oak Essentials Handwash & Lotion
I added this Oak Essentials x Jenni Kayne Hand Wash & Hand Balm Set by my kitchen sink. The cashmere musk scent is light, and a lovely transitional scent for August. I really like that they come in glass dispensers too. Oak Essentials prioritizes gluten-free formulations and formulates without silicones, colorants, sulfates, phthalates, parabens, PEGs, petroleum, mineral oil, and nano particles.
Non-toxic Non-stick pan
The Our Place Ceramic Always Non-Stick Pan is my new favorite find. I’ve been disappointed with the quality of other non-toxic non-stick pans, and this one is a true winner. It works like a dream. We make so many eggs in this house, and I’ve had zero issues with this pan losing its non-stick properties. I’m a big fan of this brand now. It also comes with a steamer basket. I’ve steamed veggies in it, and cooked every kind of meat and dinner in it. It heats evenly and everything comes out great. I love the color selection too.
New Lip & Cheek All-in-one
I use this clean beauty KOSAS Impressionist Multistick everyday. I love the shade Nuance. It works as some color on your face where you need it, and a lip color all-in-one. A little goes a long way, and it feels so good on. Not drying at all.
Fish Sweater
I bought this Dairy Boy Blue Fisherman’s Daughter Sweater when we were on Nantucket this summer. It’s a great cozy day sweater. I love the extra long sleeves and over-sized fit. I am going to love wearing this up in Maine this late summer and fall. It is available in green and white too.
Happy August!
xx Kristy
