Continuing our deep dive into my favorite stops from our Nova Scotia Road Trip, today I’m sharing a closer look at Hall’s Harbour located on the Bay of Fundy in Canada’s province of Nova Scotia.
The last full day of our week long Nova Scotia coastline road trip, took us to this stunning fishing village. Personally, this area and Peggy’s Cove were such favorites. I love places that seem unspoiled by time. The landscape of sea and rocky climbs dotted with pines is just majestic. This fishing community has a lovely beach, a cute little general store gift shop, and the main attraction, Hall’s Harbour Lobster Pound & Restaurant.
Besides the beautiful views, Hall’s Harbour is home to “the highest tides in the world.” The wharf was bone dry when we arrived with boats tied up. By the time we sat down for dinner the water mark was 40 ft. high and the boats were right up to the docks.
Parker’s General Store is a little red building with the Canadian flag, and greets you as you arrive to the harbor. This was a nice little shop to visit with gifts and goods made by local artisans.
The Hall’s Harbour Lobster Pound & Restaurant is right on the water and a must visit. The Bay of Fundy lobster is world famous. We enjoyed a lobster dinner and brew dining outdoors on the deck. It’s a beautiful setting and great gathering spot.
Before we left for the night, we took in the sunset on the beach which was absolutely stunning over the waves.
