Favorite Purchases of July 2024

Here are my favorite purchases for my home and wardrobe from July. Towards the end of July, I start craving some transitional pieces for August. The olive greens, chocolate browns, khakis, and navy blues I’m leaning towards lately. Also, it’s a great time to stock up on fall candles. My favorite fall scent is on sale now if you want to get them marked down low.

What I’m Loving this Month…

one

Transitional work out finds | I ordered these chocolate brown work out leggings recently and they have become my favorite pair. They stay in place when I’m running on the treadmill and are so comfortable for floor work. Going to order more since I like them so much. Also, they have pockets on the side, which is great for walking outside when you want your phone with you. They come in tall, regular, and petite lengths.

two

Books | When I was on Nantucket, I picked up some Elin beach reads. Also, I ordered some new coffee table books and I love this one.

three

Easy summer dresses | I find myself getting really relaxed with clothing come the dog days of summer. We’ve hit the hottest part of summer here in Connecticut, and though it’s nothing like the heat from the Midwest, I just like to have some relaxed throw on and go dresses. This collared dress and this striped dress are great styles that keep you cool and looking put together, but not too fussy on these hotter days.

four

Late summer transitioning | With back to school approaching, I always find myself reaching for basics in deeper colors. I am loving olive green, darker & warmer tones, and navy right now. One of my favorite sweaters is now in navy and white stripes too. Also, I picked up some layering cardigans and this oversized v-neck cardigan and this longer navy trimmed cardigan are great finds. These warm khaki pants are a great casual piece and come in tall lengths too. They are so comfy.

five

Basics | I restocked a couple of basics. My favorite tee find is this supima cotton white tee. The sleeves hit just right and the fabric is so nice and lays well. Also, these tank tops are a great staple and hit just right when wearing higher waisted jeans.

six

A touch of corduroy | It’s a little fall preview, but this corduroy hat is on sale and I really like the deep chocolate brown color. It will be cute paired with the matching workout clothes and for watching our son’s soccer games this season.

seven

Fall candle sale | I like to stock up on fall candles every year, and my favorite fall scented candle is on sale right now.

We have a travel coming up this month that we are looking forward to, but other than that we are just trying to hold onto these summer days before the school year starts.

I feel myself starting to nest a bit and thinking about getting the house ready for the busier season in the weeks ahead. I’m checking some smaller home projects off my list including some wallpapering and I’ll share that with you soon.

Just thinking about buying school supplies is the worst thing ever right now, ha-ha! It does have me thinking of fall though, and that’s my favorite season, so that has me dreaming of cooler mornings and all the beauty that comes with that time of year.

Happy Summer,

Kristy
