Favorite Purchases of June 2024

My June purchases were all about summer beauty essentials, a couple of seasonal home buys, and a few new outfits for our upcoming Nantucket trip. It was time to stock up on my tried and true summer products and I found a couple of new ones I really like too. I’ll break down why these are favorites in the notes for you…

What I’m loving this month…

one

Dresses for Nantucket | This J. Crew sweetheart tank dress in natural is gorgeous on! I tried it on after eyeing it for over a month, and I had to get it. It fits like a glove. Everyone should have one ecru or off white summer dress that is a classic. And it’s under $100.

I ordered this cute Hill House red & white striped nap dress, and it will be one I will wear a lot in the summer over the years. I love to shop in store when on island, but sometimes the inventory is low and the store is busy, so I just ordered this time around.

two

A Trip to the Bean | When we vacationed in Maine this month, we went up to Freeport and shopped the L.L. Bean Flagship Store. It’s such a great campus and the whole family enjoys going there. I picked up this collared striped shirt and this boatneck striped shirt just to have a couple more basics to wear with shorts.

Also, these Bean Boot waterproof mocs are a classic, and the sale price was too good, so they came home with me too. Perfect for slipping on to go in the garden or a rainy day carpool.

three

Vineyard Vines Big Summer Sale | Vineyard Vines is having it’s big Whale of a Sale with huge savings on summer clothes up to 70% off! I snagged this great Intarsia Flag Cardigan and you can shop all the sale finds here.

four

Favorite Summer Home Scent | Swedish Dream sea salt hand soap and home spray is a seasonal favorite. I stock up on this for the warmer months for our bathrooms, and it’s a clean scent that has a hint of sweet sea air. Not overpowering, just nice and fresh.

five

Serena & Lily Sale | I have been wanting a blue gingham check tablecloth for summer and I bought this light blue check tablecloth in the sale. It’s a nice weight and weave and looks great paired with festive summer navy and reds.

six

Summer Beauty Essentials | On my summer beauty run, I picked up some seasonal favorites and discovered new ones that I absolutely love! Two summer favorites are this Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen and their (Re)Setting Refreshing Mist. Both have SPF 40 and they don’t irritate my skin. They are tried and true SPF favorites.

Another couple of summer musts… This La Roche Posay Effamat Face Lotion. In the summer, I don’t like a heavy face cream, and this one is light and pore minimizing. It feels so good on the skin. I love how it feels when you apply it. It’s great under makeup too. This Mega Babe Apres-Shave Roll On is awesome too. It prevents razor bumps and ingrown hairs and soothes your bikini line.

The Color Wow Dream Coat Super Natural Spray I started using at the beginning of the year. It keeps the fly aways and humidity at bay. I love that you only have to apply it when you notice you need it.

New finds for me that I’ve been using a lot… This Tanologist Daily Glow Gradual Tan. First, I get tan enough without trying in the summer, so this just kisses your skin and enhances your tan. It makes my skin feel so smooth and soft. I use it everyday, and I might even stock up and use it in the colder months. I love the way it makes my skin feel all day and the scent is nice and doesn’t smell after hours of wear. They really nailed it with this product.

Other new finds…This Kopari Golden Amber Glow Sun Shield Sunscreen. I bought this for vacation and it gives you a nice glow and protection on the beach. I also have been using this Benefit Dew-la-la Liquid Glow Highlighter when I wear make-up. You can mix it into your foundation for an all over glow or use it just to highlight certain parts of your face like on the cheek bones. It gives you a fresh-faced glow for a summer dinner out.

Those were my favorite purchases of the month. All the July summer sales are starting now, so it’s a great time to shop for clothes and home.

Happy almost July!
