I love the winter weather…
This weekend we were greeted with our first snowfall of 2024. It was a pretty one too! I’ll have some snow scenes to share with you over on Instagram soon, but today I wanted to share two really good winter coats I love to wear and some winter accessories.
For all my tall friends that follow along, as you know I’m tall too (5’11”), so both of these jackets not only come in regular sizing, but in tall sizing too! Score!! The arms are long enough and the length hits just right!
For winter weather, I always like to have a classic wool parka and an even warmer down parka on hand. These are two that are worth the money and both are on sale now.

Why I love it…
This wool is designed to not be bulky but extra warm. Also, it has an easy to wear a-line shape that looks really good on. There is a reason they keep bringing it back every year. I have had this one for 6 years now, and it still looks brand new after wearing it so much. It’s fully lined and has some really nice detailing. The camel color is really classic and timeless too.

Why I love it…
This one is sooooo warm! For a down parka, it doesn’t feel super bulky through the middle. The lining in the arms is gathered at the cuff for extra protection in the snow. The waist can be drawn in a bit and it hits mid-thigh if you order a tall. This one I’ve had for 3 years now, and it’s my go-to for when I’m out when the temps are below freezing. So warm! I love the shade of red too–it’s a really good red.

I’ve been so pleased with the wear and quality of both of these winter coats. I’m always thrilled when I can find really good outerwear options in talls. Brands are getting so much better about having more options than ever.
