Holiday Decor in our New England Home

Merry & Bright…

I am sharing some new holiday decor finds for this year, and some early scenes of Christmas in our New England home. Our Connecticut home, Foxhill House, really shines during the holiday season. I love the traditional appeal of our colonial, and as we continue to renovate and I design the interiors, it has a fresh feel with a nod to the coastal lifestyle we love so much here in New England.

Truth be told, I do not officially start Chrismtas decorating until we pick out our real tree and fresh greenery. I set up our Balsam Hill tree (that will be gracing our dining room this year) to start decking the halls a little early. It’s been fun to walk downstairs and see a few early festive touches on our main floor, but I’ll share our holiday home tour once I’m finished decorating after Thanksgiving.

Here’s a few holiday decor finds I’ve mingled into our existing collection, and I’ll share all the details for you to shop in the shop links and descriptions.

The Holidays at Foxhill House have begun…

One of my top holiday decor finds for this year are these faux drop-in paperwhites. They honestly look real to me. I am so impressed with the quality. For this planter, I used 3 of the drop-ins. I will do bulbs when the time is here, but these are definitely going to be out every holiday season, just love these!

One of my stylist tips is to change out your coffee table books with the season. For the holidays, a couple of favorites are the Big Book of Chic and Ralph Lauren In His Own Fashion.

New ornaments I’m adding to our tree this year include these: dusty blue velvet bows, Brant Point painted oyster shell, Nantucket boat tree, and sets of these blue plaid bulbs.

These preserved boxwood wreaths come with the same dusty blue ribbon I added to the tree. They the perfect size for adorning your built-in bookcases or to tie to the backs of dining chairs or kitchen stools.

These blue velvet stockings I added these navy velvet bows on top. These come in more colors, but I love this blue.

I’ve enjoyed sharing these first glimpses of Christmas in our home with you. These new holiday decor finds are beautiful quality. More from our holiday home soon…
