Our time at Basin Harbor in Vergennes, Vermont was wonderful and I can’t wait to share all the details with you! Basin Harbor is located right on Lake Champlain. It is a beautiful setting with the resort on one side and a view of the New York Adirondack Mountains on the other side. Today, I wanted to share one of my favorite nights of our stay with you. Thursday nights at Basin Harbor are a really special time and they host THE BEST lobster dinner right on the dock. The North Dock Shore Dinners are definitely something you will want to experience during your stay and they are fun for the whole family!
A live jazz band plays throughout the night, the setting is beautiful with festive blue and white checkered tablecloths, and the food is so good! It’s more than just lobster too. It’s a full buffet of chowder, salad, seafood, veggies, steak, macaroni, chicken, hot dogs, biscuits, breads, and dessert! There is definitely something for everyone’s palate. Also, they have a full bar and fresh lemonade, sodas, and teas to choose from.
The night does not end at dinner either. The grounds are filled with families playing lawn games, a bonfire on the water’s edge complete with s’mores, and the grounds are filled with lights. It is a festive setting and we had so much fun!!
