Recently, I had the pleasure of heading up to the Finger Lakes with a couple of girlfriends for a little kick off to fall road trip. You can read all about our Empire State Road Trip here. While we were in Watkins Glen, Reisinger’s Apple Country, a local family-owned orchard was ripe for the picking! Going to an orchard always kicks off fall to me and it was fun to share this experience with friends. Here’s some highlights from our orchard day! (I link to items in the post and at the end of the post for you.)

Helen and Mindy joined me on this fun New York adventure and I can’t wait to make more memories with them soon! It was so great to cut out some time to enjoy with girlfriends.
To my great joy, the orchard already had some pumpkins out to purchase too! It gave me all the fall feels and I am so excited for another autumn in New England. Reisinger’s was a really cute orchard to visit. Beautiful location as you can see. Also, they offer homemade cider donuts, pumpkins and gourds, and more apple goods in their market.
I brought home my pie apples and the boys were so excited! That following weekend I baked them the first of many apple delights! So, how many orchards will I visit before fall is over? My guess is 4 or 5…because I love them so much! The boys have their local favorite here in Connecticut and I think we’ll head there this coming weekend.
More posts are coming from our New York Fall Road Trip and I have another fun New England fall adventure coming up next week to share with you.
