March Favorites

Happy April! It’s finally looking and feeling like spring here in Connecticut. I wanted to share my favorite finds from last month with you. All of these are going to be great for this spring and summer. Here are my favorite finds from March…

to note…

clean beauty

I’ve been switching out all my make-up and skincare to clean beauty products this year. I really like Ilia so far. The products just feel good on your skin, and I love the lightness of them. I’m looking forward to trying more from them as I replace products. This hydrating lipstick crayon, skin rewind complexion stick, and bronzer are new favorites. I just use the complexion stick if I need it under my eyes and if I want to highlight. It doesn’t crease and blends beautifully. The bronzer is really natural and gives your skin that sun-kissed glow. The lip crayon is matte, and I just apply gloss on top if I want some shine.

I was sent some Jones Road products last year, and one of the favorites that stuck is their mascara. I have sensitive eyes and this doesn’t irritate, washes off easily, and makes my lashes long and super full.

Another switch I made for spring, is this Drunken Elephant face cream and bronzing drops. I use this after my shower, and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. No fragrance is a must for me. The lotion is not greasy at all, and adds the perfect amount of moisture. The bronzing drops I add in when I want a more tan look. I can wear these alone or under make-up.

body oil

My morning routine consists of lymphatic drainage, and a “start the day workout” on my vibration plate, followed by leg massage on the plate too. I love this Osea body oil to use on my legs. It has a clean scent all naturally derived, and makes your skin look so healthy. This has been my favorite early morning routine lately. It just wakes up my body, helps with balance, and depuffs if wake up feeling that way.

100% cotton

I did a serious closet clean out this spring, and I’m only adding in things with natural fibers for daily wear. I love that there are so many 100% cotton options like this organic cotton fisherman sweater, this classic cotton rollneck sweater, and this cable knit rollneck sweater.

odds & ends

I have so many home projects going on right now, big & small. After the Easter weekend, we start demolition on our kitchen and bathrooms, which is so exciting! Also, I’m taking time to add more character and charm to our already renovated spaces. I love nautical art, and source a lot from antique shops, but these new finds I just added too: framed nautical ship & whale, framed ship & whale painting, and vintage ship art.

Our new Polywood furniture arrived, and we just unboxed it and set up our backyard for the season. We added more Adirondack chairs and loungers this year to our existing pieces. I love this furniture. It’s made to stay outside year round and handles all the elements. I’ll share an update with you soon.

I’ve been collecting books for our upcoming vacations and beach days. I just added this new novel, Occupying Nantucket, to my beach read collection.

A few other fashion finds I really think are fantastic: this 100% linen shirt, this white cotton dress, this blue and white maxi dress, these 100% leather huaraches, and this cotton sleep set.

Those are my favorites from this past month.

Happy Spring!
