New Years Eve is less than two weeks away and today I’m sharing some fun ideas for an at home NYE celebration with decorations and party supplies from Christmas Tree Shops.
Here’s some ideas for your at home New Years Celebration…
Candles, Candles, Candles
Christmas Tree Shops always has a great selection of candles to choose from and for New Years I like to use the LED ones. You can create a festive display with the gold and silver LED candles I found at Christmas Tree Shops. Each set of 3 was under $15. No worries about a fire hazard when you are busy entertaining your guests.
I did pick up some real candles and these star shaped candle holders. If I use real candles for a gathering, I always make sure they are in a lantern and hurricane for safety. I found designer Illume candle votives in Winter White (one of my favorite Illume scents!) and snagged those to use in the star hurricane holders. Perfect for a NYE display.
Recycle your Christmas Decor into NYE Decor
All those bows and ribbons left over from holiday can be used for your New Years party. Gold and silver ribbons are perfect to add a festive touch and even look great atop a table. They had plenty of ribbon left in store at Christmas Tree Shops.
Also, I found these larger gold and silver bows 2 for $3 and they are so fun wrapped around your bubbly bottles. I placed a couple more on my table as festive accent on each side of the table runner. The black table runner with snowflakes works perfect for New Years and I’ll get use out of it into the winter too.
Leftover Christmas crackers can be great fun on NYE too. Christmas Tree Shops had plenty of silver and gold crackers that work perfectly for New Years.
Champagne Glasses & Glass Markers
When having an at home gathering, I find glasses get mixed up easily. Christmas Tree Shops had wine glass markers in gold and silver—perfect! Having guests label their drink glasses definitely helps on keeping things in order when you are entertaining.
Speaking of glassware…I am alway amazed at the higher quality pieces that I can find at Christmas Tree Shops. These champagne glasses are a great Swiss glassware brand and perfect for that New Years Eve toast!
Disposable Plates and Napkins
Clean up is the last things I want to do in the wee hours of the morning, so finding this set of gold rimmed disposable plates was a perfect find. They had them in every color too. Christmas Tree Shops also had gold cocktail napkins.
Create Your Own Traditions & Games
I love having what we call popcorn questions for our guests and they are great conversation starters. I simply print out some end of the year questions and place them in a bowl. It’s fun to hear what everyone loved about the past year.
The Extras
I usually walk away with something unexpected when I shop in Christmas Tree Shops, and I love this wine stopper. It’s like a firework with the silver and gold bells and thought it would be perfect for our NYE night.
