Saturday in the Park

This weekend we had such a nice time enjoying our hometown. We spent an afternoon on the town green picnicking and enjoying fresh pickings from the farm stand across the street. We ate outside at a local favorite, got the boys ice cream at the creamery, and visited the Cove to enjoy the water and let our youngest feed the ducks. It was an easy breezy weekend and I think we all needed it!

Today, I’d like to share some favorites from the weekend

Wear your Stripes

I wanted to share this great dress from Sailor Sailor Clothing. They are an American made brand founded by two Connecticut friends and are known for their fun prints and coastal inspired offerings. These dresses are so great for summer. They have built-in SPF 50+ and moisture wicking fabric.

I’m wearing the Boardwalk Dress in Red Stripe and I love the hidden pockets too—such a great touch. Sailor Sailor Clothing can also add extra length to certain styles upon request and that is a win-win for a tall girl like me! I feel like this dress was tailored perfectly. It’s a new summer favorite.

Classic Navy Stripe Blanket c/o Chappy Wrap

I think our Fourth of July started a little early. It’s good all week long, right? We walked ourselves over to our town’s green and enjoyed the shade and a lazy picnic. A few other families and couples were out on blankets but there was plenty of space in between, so we didn’t need to wear our masks which was great.

Chappy Wrap just released it’s new summer collection and this Classic Navy Stripe blanket is perfect for any activity this summer. It’s the ideal size blanket for picnicking too.

90+ Cellars has a summer collaboration with Life is Good and I just tried out the Seas the Day Rosé and it was quite lovely. You can now order from 90+ Cellars online which is so great during this time of COVID-19 we find ourselves in. I’m going to try the other varieties when we are up in Maine. I think that Chardonnay might have to go sailing with us! You can order the Life is Good 6-pack here.

The forecast called for rain all day, and we didn’t see a drop! So, our picnic lunch turned into a stroll down to the Cove.

After playing around down by the water we grabbed a dinner outside at one of our favorite spots and walked down to the creamery for ice cream after.

Summer days like these are such a nice departure from the busy schedules we often times find ourselves in.

I’ll take more of these days anytime! As we creep up on July, my mind is swimming with vacation plans, days on the water, and trying to make make more efforts to slow down.

So, those are a few favorite things from the weekend.

This weekend was such a good reset for everyone. We’re gearing up for some travels and it was just nice to ‘be”.

Not a bad way to spend a summer day.

Until next time,

Kristy
