We have a fall travel we are looking forward to this month. A couples weekend in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut. It’s so pretty there once the leaves change, and this charming part of our state offers so much with fabulous restaurants, charming inns, small family farms, and unique shopping. Here’s a few things going into my suitcase for this fall weekend away.

New mixed with old
I’m bringing along some of my favorite fall outerwear pieces mixed with some great new finds. My favorite Barbour jacket and Barbour serape are great layers when the chill is in the air. I love the jacket layered over this new fisherman sweater. It’s more of a relaxed fit than my classic L.L. Bean fisherman sweater (which is another favorite) and I really like the quality and fit. Not pictured above, is this 100% oversized cotton crewneck that I’m also packing.
Some favorite flats include these M.Gemi leather ballet flats. They have a built-in subtle heel that makes them really flattering on. Also, I am bringing my favorite horse bit leather loafers that won’t break the bank, and these new hazel velvet flats. All of these look really great with ankle denim and pants. These new suede ankle boots look really great with boot cut or flared jeans.
To pair with my favorite boot cut jeans of the season, I am bringing this new wrap cardigan. I love the Ralph Lauren vibes of this sweater jacket, and it’s very well-made.
Two other pants I’m bringing for options are my favorite ankle jeans and these plaid pants that are really cute on.
My new flannel plaid weekender bag and travel tote are perfect for this trip. They have great details including brass feet on the bottom of the bags, lots of built-in pockets, and leather handles and bottoms. They will be great for our holiday travels too.
Happy Fall
xx Kristy
