A road trip along the Maine coast is one of my favorite parts of summer. Vacation part two this year is up in Bar Harbor, Maine. We’ll be staying at a new resort hotel on Mount Desert Island that has been completely renovated and redesigned by one of my favorite hoteliers. I’m looking forward to exploring and enjoying the beauty of the Maine coastline, and slipping into the quiet luxury of our accommodations. Here’s a few pieces going in my suitcase for our Down East summer road trip.

I’m going to break in my new Steamline Luggage. I can not rave about this luggage enough. If you are looking for vintage inspired luggage that is beautifully made–this is a fab brand to know. Their pieces have an all leather exterior, and so many smartly designed details. I’m bringing my Architect Stowaway Luggage and my Architect Vanity Case on our road trip.
Also, I saw this madras maxi dress and had to order it for vacation. Such a fun twist on the classic summer print staple.
I love to mix in earth tones– especially as the summer chugs along. I always have a lot of blue and white, but as the summer weeks go by, I find myself mixing in browns and olive greens. I’ve found so many good pieces this summer like those finds above. I’ll share more from Maine soon.
