It’s time to pack for ACK! It’s that time of the year that we enjoy summer on Nantucket. The hydrangeas are now in bloom, the Sconset roses are erupting, and the weather is lovely. We popped over for a day trip when we were on Cape Cod last week to show our out-of-town family around. The weather was fantastic. It made me so excited for our regular summer trip.
I tend to pack more relaxed for Nantucket, and just add some easy throw on dresses for dinners out. When we started vacationing here 10 years ago, it was very chill. I loved it. It’s changed a tad, especially since COVID. Influencers tend to dress up more than the usual island native or regular visitor, which is fine, just realize that’s not the normal.
I say classic is always best, and remember those comfortable shoes and layers. Especially the shoes…the wonky sidewalks, cobblestone, and brick can be uncomfortable in the wrong shoes. I always pack a rain jacket, flat sandals and shoes, a pair of wedges (the only heel I’ll wear on the island), and the basics: jeans, shorts, tanks, tees, button downs, swimsuits, and sweaters. The weather in late June and early July is usually lovely summer vibes, but the rainy days and windier days can still happen. It’s always good to be prepared.
Here’s a few things going in my suitcase. I can’t wait to be b’ACK in a couple of days!

A little sneak peek! This flag cardigan is part of my upcoming Heritage Collection with Sail to Sable. It will go live to shop at 10 am EST on July 1 while I am on Nantucket. It’s SO GOOD, and I love the details on the front too.
Also, a note on the Navy Blue Linen Dress. It runs big and I would suggest sizing down. I had to size down two sizes for the fit I wanted.
Next time you hear from me I’ll be on island time 🙂
xx Kristy
