We had a lovely Mother’s Day weekend last week and celebrated at the Ocean House. It really has us all looking forward to summer and vacation. Other than that, I’ve been adding some touches to our living room that I’ll share in the next weeks. The new rug arrived and I just got a delivery set up for the rest of the furniture, so it’s nice to wrap this room up before summer is here.

The Veranda is now open at the Ocean House

If you’ve ever had brunch or dined in any of the restaurant settings at the Ocean House, you know how wonderful it is in the spring and summer. The Veranda is officially open for the season, so if you’d like to dine al fresco with those gorgeous ocean views, it is waiting for you! When we were there last weekend, the cabanas were starting to be set up on the beach.

There’s a lot of sales on sales on sales going on right now at J. Crew Factory. It’s a great time to stock up for summer if you need some new for your wardrobe. I’m always a fan of their shorts and they have some really cute fits this season.

New to-go tumbler for summer

Sometimes I just don’t want drinks in a metal lined cup, and I found these great glass tumblers. I prefer glass for iced coffee or water. They are the size of my Stanley cups, but they have a glass interior and the outside is sturdy. It fits perfectly in my car cup holder too. Such a great price, so you can get a few. Also, I ordered these glass straws for this tumbler and my Stanley ones.

I added a few new summer sandals to my closet this year, and here’s some really cute ones I found on my sandal hunt this week.
