The Friday Five | 6.21.24

We just got back from our family vacation up in Maine, and we are easing back into work and our son’s sports here. Summer seems to fly by these days, and it makes vacation time all the more sweet.

In a couple of weeks, we will be heading to Nantucket for our summer getaway. It never gets old. We just love the beauty of that tiny island, and it has become a place that is so special to our family. It’s one of the trips we look forward to most.

In these last couple weeks of June, I’ll be sharing some summer fashion, a home update, and some 4th of July planning. We will be home for the 4th this year, and it’s always a fun time in our neighborhood. Then, I’ll be on island time and sharing the beauty of our favorite summer place with you.

Here’s what caught my eye this week…

ONE

Our new beach set

As you know, I’m such a fan of Mark & Graham. I’m always singing their praises here, and their summer collection this year is just too good! It’s always good, but this year I’m so into all the new raffia, stripes, ric rac, and wicker products they’ve launched.

We have been getting so much use out of our new beach set that is from the Business & Pleasure x Mark & Graham line. So far, it’s gone on 5 beach days and we took it up to Maine with us last week. I love the size and coverage of the umbrella for one. It provides more shade than our older beach umbrella. The beach blanket has a hole in the center so you can fit the umbrella directly over it. The beach chairs recline back and are great for sunning or resting in the shade. They are lightweight and have carrying straps so you can be hands-free when you are walking down to the beach.

Sail to Sable x Style Charade

My friend, Jenn Lake, has just dropped her 13th collection with one of my favorite brands, Sail to Sable. It’s perfect for coastal summers with ric rac, seersucker, and eyelet touches on the dresses. It’s always such a great capsule collection every season, and this one is a favorite. I love the navy Megan Maxi dress I shared with you this week. Here are my favorites from the collection…

Packing for Nantucket summer

I put together a post HERE on what I pack for our Nantucket summer. I get asked this one a lot in DM’s, so I put together details for you all on what to bring. I do it all in one suitcase and one large bag whether we are staying a few days or a couple of weeks.

This dress

If you are looking for a classic dress that you will love for years to come, this is the one. I tried this on after looking at it online, and it’s definitely a keeper. Looks relaxed, yet elevated. Perfect for all summer long and looks great dressed up or dressed down. It fits like a glove.

New summer dresses lately…

I was doing a little shopping this week to get ready for Nantucket in July, and noticed some really cute new dresses at some of my favorite retailers. A couple of these are going in my suitcase, but wanted to share the ones I didn’t scoop up in case you are looking for some cute new ones too.

We have a free weekend, so I am going to start installing wallpaper in our upstairs hallway and powder room. Also, I just shot our living room finished (hooray!), and will share all the details with you in the following weeks.
