Woah! How is it already September 19th?! We are almost to my favorite part of the year…Fall through Christmastime in New England! I just wish it lasted longer, but maybe that’s part of why it’s so special. I thought I’d do a little check-in like I used to and share what’s coming up this fall.
Fall Travel
When I plan out travel to showcase on this site and my social every season, I try to mix it up. I’ve lived here long enough and researched enough to know the places I want to share with you here. I’ve shared a lot up north in New Hampshire and Vermont in years past, and this year I really wanted to shine a spotlight on my home state of Connecticut a bit more. Connecticut and nearby Rhode Island are just beautiful in the fall. Here are the places I’m sharing with you this upcoming season…
Mayflower Inn, Washington, CT
Girls trip! I love to plan a couple of trips a year with dear friends and this time we are going to the beautiful Mayflower Inn in Washington, Connecticut. I’ve been there a few times and it’s just idyllic. I haven’t shared much about it here, so get ready to see one of my favorite inns in Connecticut.
Ocean House, Watch Hill, RI
The countless times I have been at the Ocean House, I have never stayed in the fall. Early October, I’ll be staying there to share something special with you! I’m looking forward to seeing it all decked out for autumn and love that part of Rhode Island so much.
The Kent Collection, Kent, CT
Trying to hit those colors in the Litchfield Hills just right this year. I have a trip planned towards the end of October for a countryside weekend away at the charming Kent Collection. We’ll be sharing a lovely inn (think Gilmore Girls vibes!), exploring Litchfield County, and hopefully catching the color at peak or close to it!
Vermont or Essex, CT???
We’ve been knee-dip in our home reno for weeks now and with our youngest back in school and his sports in full swing again, the free time has been non-existent. I might sneak away for a day trip or weekend with Topher up north this year, maybe southern Vermont, but only if it doesn’t make life crazy! Honestly, popping into Essex, CT just might be the ticket since it’s super close and I love it there in the fall. Just going to be spontaneous about it. TBD!

Living Room & Entryway Reveal
We are wrapping on our living room & entry way and getting ready to share these spaces and details with you! It feels so fresh and I’m getting excited at the thought of decorating it for the holidays! I can’t wait to share it in the days and weeks ahead.
Dining Room Project
As I was working on the living room, I started the design and planning for our dining room. I’m excited to have some fun with wallpaper and make this a special place in our home. We host Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner in our home, so it will be nice to have this room completed just in time for the holidays. I’ll be sharing the weekly progress with you once we wrap on sharing the living room.

We’ve been shooting a lot of fall outfits to share! In the days and weeks ahead, I’ll be sharing some great fall finds. Also, I’m always looking for tall fashion to share with you and will keep sharing my finds there for the season too. You can follow me on the LTK app for all the latest everyday for fashion finds.
Holiday Gift Guides
Even though, it’s not time yet, we are prepping the shop and partnering with brands to share some great holiday style finds and customized gift guides to help you shop for your loved ones this season. We’ll start rolling these out in October, but will focus on heavy holiday everything starting Black Friday and Cyber Week. We are already sharing some holiday decor on the LTK app and will keep prepping for the season. I like to have all my holiday shopping and prepping done early so I can just sit back and enjoy the season and time off with my family.
That’s what I’ll be sharing this upcoming fall and pre-holiday season here on the blog, IG, & LTK. I love that Connecticut is in the spotlight this fall season for travel! Also, I can’t wait to share the fall fashion we’ve been shooting lately! So many good things and I am loving that the weather is getting cooler and we can layer up once again! Last but not least, starting to have home content be a big part of the sharing here is so fun. I’ve missed sharing that in years past, but decided to do it this year and I can’t wait to get into the really big projects on the horizon!
