What I Wore: Nantucket

We just returned home to Connecticut from our Nantucket vacation, and I wanted to share some of the outfits I wore while we were there. I still have some Nantucket posts to share here on the blog and IG this next week. It never seems long enough. We are already talking about adding on another week next year.

I stay pretty casual when it’s a true vacation with the exception of a couple of nicer dinner outfits. It’s a lot of casual day dresses, shorts, and 2 or 3 nicer dinner dresses. There is one more outfit I wore that I will be sharing next week when the collection goes live.

Here are my favorites from Nantucket…

Arriving by Ferry…

Upon arrival, I quickly ditched the sweater because the first couple of days we were here had some insane humidity. The 73 degree high was very misleading…ha, ha! This dress was the perfect light weight day dress our first day here.

A day in Sconset

We met some friends at their cottage right on the Bluff Walk and enjoyed a day out in Sconset. This is one of my go-to linen dresses in the summer and I wear it so much. The breeze showed up and made for a wonderful and less humid sunny day.

Biking to the beach & shopping around town…

We biked around the island our third day here and spent the morning at the beach. Then, it was a little bloom strolling and shopping in town. I love to wear an Oxford as a beach cover-up with a pair of shorts when I am biking around the island all day.

Dinner at Galley Beach

There are a couple of restaurants we always book when we are here, and it’s nice to dress up occasionally for dinner. This dress was a favorite and I received so many compliments on it. The sweater is older, but I loved the stripes on stripes on stripes play.

Madaket beach & sips at Millie’s…

We had another beach day out in Madaket this time, so I opted for a long linen cover-up over my swimsuit since I knew we were heading out for bites and sips after.

Lunch at Sandbar with friends…

I’m repeat offender on this dress, but I gave it a good steam since I packed pretty light for this trip. We went out to Jettie’s Beach to meet up with our friends, Jenn and Bob, to have lunch at Sandbar our last day here. When we got back in town, we shopped a little bit more at some of our favorite antique spots before our late afternoon ferry.

I’ll share more from Nantucket all this week and stay tuned for a special collection dropping next week that you will want to shop. If you love Nantucket and classic style–you’ll want to shop this collection.

Happy Summer!
