This post is in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops and That! and all opinions are my own.
With the holidays around the corner and small home gatherings in mind, I am excited to really make our surroundings extra cozy and festive this year. Recently, I had an early and safe celebration with some friends and we put together a lovely Friendsgiving outdoors featuring items from Christmas Tree Shops.
Here are some photos of our outdoor Friendsgiving gathering. I’ll share my tips on how to make a warm and festive tablescape too!
*Everything featured in this tablescape is from Christmas Tree Shops & That! except for the food and fresh naturals.
Tip #1 Check out what is available and start with the tablecloth…
We visited our local Christmas Tree Shops and That! location and found so many options for fall.
For me, I like to start making a tablescape by selecting the tablecloth first. From there, I can can build my place settings and create a cohesive design. Christmas Tree Shops and That! had a great selection of tablecloths, napkins, and runners. Also, they had a variety of china, glassware, and flatware to compliment the linens.
Tip #2 Add in serveware like cheese boards, carafes, and serving trays.
Christmas Tree Shops and That! had a lot of serveware to choose from! We opted for smaller wooden boards to use for charcuterie on each side of our table. A water carafe on the table is a nice touch so guests don’t have to get up to refill their glasses. Also, we picked up a serving tray so we could carry plated meals right out to the table.
Tip #3 Mix in fresh naturals like pumpkins, gourds, and greenery from the yard.
I love mixing in fresh florals and naturals on every tablescape that I design. It elevates the whole look and is that extra effort that your guests will enjoy. We made a centerpiece that ran the length of the table using magnolia clippings from the yard and a variety of pumpkins and gourds from the market. The persimmon was a nice little touch on the place settings too!
So, does this put you in the holiday mood yet?! I am already plotting my Thanksgiving table for our quiet home dinner this year.
