This post is sponsored by Christmas Tree Shops, a brand I love and shop here in Connecticut.
Today, I wanted to share our “at home” coastal inspired lobster boil we had over the weekend with wares from Christmas Tree Shops. We just finished the remodel of our sunroom and we wanted to celebrate it in a fun way. Before we start furnishing it, we decided to make a night of it and have a lobster boil celebration!
Here’s a look at our DIY lobster boil…
Setting the Table
Christmas Tree Shops had the cutest summer dishware. The indigo dinner plates paired with the fish patterned bowls are a perfect match. Each were on sale 2 for $5. I went with a white serving platter to plate the lobster boil on and it will mix nicely with the other china and dishes we already have too.
Also, I found some great quality hammered flatware there that I’ll be able to replace our old set with and use daily. The sets were priced $19.99 for 4 settings. They had service for 12 in stock, so I snatched them up!
The table linens I selected had the coastal vibe I was going for in beachy colors. The tablecloth was such a steal under $10!! For napkins, I opted for the woven blue cotton set. I was able to set the whole table including drinking glasses from their selection.
Dressing the Console Table
When I was looking for items for a beverage bar Christmas Tree Shops had a great selection.
The drink dispenser with the stand was perfect for lemonade and the metal nautical buckets came in handy. We used one for a soda cooler. They had a great selection of drink dispensers priced $14.99-$19.99.
I used the other partitioned metal bucket for hand towels, lobster crackers, and lobster forks. I like to have hand towels for messy endeavors like cracking claws! The red salad plates and drawn butter cups also came from Christmas Tree Shops.
I added decor pieces like the coral that I will use in the sunroom when we furnish it as an extra sitting space soon. The starfish bowl was a great find too that I will enjoy in our home. I added a bowl to use it as a bread bowl for our lobster boil.
Also, I fashioned a larger tablecloth that matches the one I used on the dining table. It will also fit our larger dining room table, so I plan on using it in there this summer.
Bonus Items
Christmas Tree Shops had a couple of extras I found too. The fish and whale ice cube trays added a fun touch and they had oyster crackers for our clam chowder.
Our Lobster Boil Celebration
I love how this all came together. These are all pieces that I can use in our daily life and for future celebrations too. I can’t wait to start entertaining outside on our patio when the weather gets nicer.
I’m going to share our sunroom before and after soon for you too. It was the perfect little project to tackle over spring break.
Be sure to visit Christmas Tree Shops to see their latest online flyer and check them out in store. It’s always so fun to shop there and see what they have new in stock. There are lots of coastal and nautical items hitting the shelves daily!
More from our sunroom soon!
