It’s the Most Wonderful Time of Year…
As you may have seen in my previous posts, we started our December full of holiday spirit and SNOW here in Connecticut. It was nice to have a couple of extra days added to our Thanksgiving Break to really embrace the holiday season. We got a good jump on our Christmas decorating and holiday shopping. We ended up with two snow days that made all the traditions seem even more festive.
Here’s what is on my radar for this month…

Holidays in Newport , RI Travel Guide— Last year, we visited Newport during our Christmas vacation and enjoyed it so much that I am going to put together a guide to share our favorite things to see and do there. I am not sure if we will be back there this season—it’s a good possibility!
-
Old Wethersfield Holidays on Main— Our town has held this tradition for the past ten years in a row now and it’s always a fun night. The town tree lighting, wine tasting and auction at the Webb Barn, horse and carriage rides, caroling, Santa at the Firehouse, and festive activities have become a yearly tradition.
-
Essex, CT— Essex has quickly become a favorite place of mine since moving here. We are going to head there to grab a holiday meal at The Griswold and take in all the holiday scenes and a little shopping too.

I love that this festive top from Sailor Sailor can be dressed up or down.

We’ve been cuddling in these super soft blankets from Chappy Wrap and they’d make the perfect gift too.

I have a couple of bags on repeat this season and love this one from Crab & Cleek and this travel bag from Barrington Gifts.
-
This Lobster Gift Wrap by Sara Fitz is a fun coastal touch to our tree this year.
-
We’ve been getting a lot of wear already out of these super festive his and hers holiday sweaters from Fat Face USA.

We’ve been having a lot of fireside nights and this Monogram Mary monogrammed log carrier is so handy! It would also make a perfect gift too.
