July is here and with that brings the excitement of 4th of July celebrations, trips to our favorite coastal destinations, and days spent on the beach. It’s busy season in some of our favorite New England towns and there is an extra excitement in the air.
Here’s what’s on my radar for this month…

-
Nantucket— We’ll be taking our first trip of the season out to this special place. Get ready for some major oversharing!
-
Newport—We always love to visit this sailing haven during the summer. I’ll be sharing an overnight trip with you and some worthwhile things to do.
-
The Impromptu—Part of the fun of a New England summer are the trips you don’t plan out. Sometimes it’s just nice to hop in the car and see where the road takes you. Needless to say, it will probably be next to a body of water! Sometimes I just like to day trip to a lighthouse and find a place to eat close-by or venture to the beach and stop at places on the way home.

Red 36—I have heard good things about this restaurant in Mystic, CT. I feel like downtown Mystic is becoming quite the food hub. We loved The Engine Room and have quite a few places we want to try in this area. www.red36ct.com

Until next time,
