Happy May! Don’t you just love May? The weather is finally nice, everything is vibrant green and fragrant, and Memorial Day Weekend is calling to us! I’ve been inspired to add in some coastal, summery touches to our home lately. It’s been so nice to have the windows open all day long.
I’ve been contemplating some landscaping I want to add in this year. Since we are still working on the interiors here, we haven’t focused a ton on the landscaping.
Each year, I like to add in a little something. I’m thinking about adding in some Japanese holly along our front walkway. They look like boxwoods, but you don’t have to worry about boxwood blight which has become an issue here in Connecticut.
Also, we have some areas we want to add some climbing roses and more hydrangeas. My endless summer hydrangeas erupted last year, and that was a delight to see.
Other than that, I’m just occupied with work and my family, which always starts to get busier with the nice weather and our son’s sports season starting up again.
