Today, I wanted to share a beautiful inn right here in New England and a great romantic February package offering. Last week, I had the pleasure of spending a couple of nights at The Inn at Hastings Park, a Relais & Chateaux property located in the heart of Lexington, Massachusetts. It’s a beautiful inn that has upscale amenities, gorgeous designer interiors, and an amazing on site restaurant called Town Meeting Bistro. On the grounds, they offer seasonal outdoor dining experiences and right now you can enjoy a Valentine’s Day heated winter INNgloo dining experience which is perfect for small gatherings and celebrations.
A Revolutionary Place
The inn dates back to 1888, but the ground it sits on is very historic to the founding of our country. The Battle of Lexington in the Revolutionary War took place here, the great American authors and writers of the time like Alcott, Thoreau, Hawthorne, and Emerson resided in the area of Lexington and Concord, and there are several historic sites, homes, museums and memorials to visit.
There is great shopping in neighboring Concord, which is just lovely to visit and stroll too. Wilson’s Farm is minutes away for seasonal fun and a wonderful indoor market, and there are several dining options in Lexington and Concord.
Hospitality & Cuisine
One of the things I love most about this inn is how seamlessly it blends refined living with the ease and comfort of warm hospitality. Trisha Perez Kennealy, the owner and founder of this inn, has outdone herself creating a place to stay that is one part history, one part luxury, and one part warm hospitality. She is a skilled chef and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in London amongst her other many talents. Her appreciation for a good meal is evident in the restaurant’s offerings and mix of cultural cuisine and flavors.
Galentine’s INNgloo
My recent visit was for a few things. My friend, Kim Thomas, who heads up Shorelines Illustrated and the New England Coastal Creative Conference, held a networking coffee in the restaurant that morning and I stayed to enjoy a night dining with friends in a heated Galentine’s INNgloo outside on the property. I sampled the 3 course Valentine’s Menu during this festive night and indulged in an Aperol Spritz cocktail with Sweet Tree Creamery Vegan Ice Cream. I extended my stay an extra night because of the winter ice and snow that greeted us and I wasn’t at all disappointed having to enjoy my beautiful suite one more day.
Accommodations
Here’s a glimpse at my beautiful room. I stayed in room 31 which has a king size bed, gorgeous blue and white decor, and a marble bathroom. The room includes a desk, sitting area, television, Smeg fridge stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks, in room coffee and espresso machine, Matouk robes, Molton & Brown products, and sumptuous bedding. Every detail has been thought through and they even place a monogrammed pillow on your bed for an extra personal touch. There are 22 rooms on the property and each one is unique in design and decoration. It would be so fun to stay in a new room every visit because they are all a treat for the senses.
