Hello, April! A new month here in New England has brought the joy of green grass and blooms starting to emerge from their hibernation. We started this month with our family celebrating Easter and the warm sun making an appearance once again.
With COVID vaccinations going strong, we have the promise of our businesses opening up to full capacity and our travel dreams coming true in 2021. Things are booking up pretty fast at our favorite summer destinations and we snagged an early July vacation to Nantucket just in time.
I can’t wait to share the travel I have lined up to share with you this year! It’s going to be a New England adventure all summer long. Spring is starting to pick up and I have a travel this week that I am excited to cover for you. I’ll share more on that soon!
With brighter days ahead, here’s what is on my radar for the month of April…

Sailing across the Chesapeake Bay— Heading down the Eastern Seaboard to our New England neighbor close by! My first travel this month will take me to an amazing inn right on the water in St. Michaels, Maryland. I’ll be joining a small group for a sailing adventure aboard a Hinkley yacht and sharing all this inn and surrounding area has to offer you. You’ll want to add this destination to your list!
Experience Essex— As you all know, Essex, Connecticut is near and dear to my heart. I’ll be attending a special event there at the end of this month. I may just pop in from time to time too…the daffodils are popping up and I am on Bloom Watch 2021.
A Complete Mystic Travel Guide— You may have seen our coverage on Instagram of our spring break Mystic, Connecticut trip. I’m putting together a comprehensive guide highlighting every restaurant, activity, and shop we love in the area.
The Langsford KPT— In February, we covered “Paint the Town Red” in Kennebunkport, Maine and I wanted to feature the hotel we stayed at more here on the blog. I’ll share our experience here at KPT’s newest luxury hotel.

Spring Sailing Style— On my trip to the Chesapeake Bay, I’ll be sporting some attire from one of my most favorite New England turned national brands. Stay tuned for looks perfect for a day of sailing and resort wear fit for dinners on the coast. You might be able to guess who with that clue 😉
Modern Take on the Ball Cap— I’m pretty much a ball cap junkie. I can’t travel without buying one as a souvenir. I do love a cap without logo or lettering to wear daily from time to time and I found the best ball caps for your everyday style!
In My Travel Bag— This series spotlights what I’m packing for my next adventure and I have some new bag and luggage companies to feature for you too.
Saint James Giveaway— Tomorrow kicks off an Instagram Giveaway with one of my favorite high quality coastal brands! You won’t want to miss this one because this classic Breton stripe sweater company is offering you an amazing giveaway!

Camp Foxhill Lobster Boil— We recently finished a makeover on our sunroom and celebrated with an at home lobster boil. I’ll be sharing all the entertaining details and wares featuring Christmas Tree Shops.
The Before & After of Our Sunroom— You can see the unappealing “before” and the fresh and coastal “after” of our sunroom. In May, I’ll be decorating this space, but you can see the progress and the “as is” state before I start furnishing and adding my touch to it.
The Seasonal Sip— I’ll be featuring some of my favorite seasonal sips this month in this weekly feature.
