Bon Weekend

E D I T I O N

no. 2

How was everyone’s weekend? We had gorgeous-you-want-to-be-outside-all-day-kind-of-weather here in Connecticut, so that’s exactly what we did. We played lawn games, grilled out, got some much needed sun, and enjoyed our patio.

Here’s some highlights…

Saturday we popped into town to pick-up some restaurant food. I feel so bad for the restaurant owners. They are really taken a beating with this shutdown, so we make sure to spread the love around a couple of times a week. While waiting for our order, the blooms were putting on a show and I had to snap that photo!

Usually, this time of year the sidewalks in front of the restaurants are full of outdoor seating. It’s so sad to see the sidewalks void of any kind of activity.

Friday and Sunday we grilled out and I’ve been playing with some homemade marinade variations. When I have some worthy of sharing, I’ll post them here.

My next door neighbor might make a gardener out of me yet! She showed me all kinds of tips for how to start and keep the animals out. I am going to start small and see how some container gardening goes. I love fresh herbs, so that’s what I am going to do right now. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I’ve been adding some summer coastal touches to our porch this season. I love little reminders of our favorite places.

It was pretty chill and relaxing. Aside from the above I did order some summer clothes and swimwear for everyone in the family and got that marked off my to-do list.

Next week, I have a fun activity that I have been really looking forward to and can’t wait to share it with you! It involves a couple of my favorite New England brands at an amazing place with a few friends. I’ll share more on that soon.

Stay safe!

Until next time,

Kristy
