Suitcase Adventures: Coastal Christmas Mystic

I just love the holidays here in New England. Our hometown is just darling this time of year, but we do love to plan a weekend or two in a couple of other favorite New England holiday places too.

This year, we picked Mystic, Connecticut for our coastal Christmas trip. We’ve enjoyed Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Kennebunkport, and St. Micheals over the years. To our surprise, as much as we visit Mystic, we have never visited during the holiday season.

We are looking forward to our little weekend away together, and here’s a few things I’m packing in my suitcase for our Mystic Coastal Christmas in Connecticut…

Of note…

These flannel plaid travel bags come in a large tote and a weekender bag size. I love this blue, green, and red plaid for the holiday and winter season.

My red wool coat is discontinued, but I found one that is a really good red and very similar. This red wool coat is on sale too.

My new fisherman sweater is getting a lot of wear this year, and I love it for a coastal Christmas trip.

I like bring cashmere turtlenecks to pair with a good pant for a monochromatic holiday look. This red cashmere turtleneck sweater is really good.

My favorite blackwatch wool cape is back in stock. I love to wear this all December. It looks great over an all black outfit.

More from Mystic soon…

You can follow along on my Instagram as we enjoy Mystic at Christmas. Lobster trap trees, a festive lighthouse, coastal Christmas scenes and holiday lights, a lighted holiday lantern tour, a very merry and festive holiday bar, a couple of super cozy winter restaurants, and a stay at one of our favorites.

Happy Holidays!

xx Kristy
