Talbots Fall Favorites for Modern Classic Style

Here in Connecticut the temps are starting to drop this coming week and evenings are becoming cooler. With the official start to fall just a couple of days away, I’m ready for leaf-peeping drives through New England and all those great roadside stops along the way. Fall has always been my favorite time for clothes and after checking out my closet, I needed to replace and update a few things for the season. I love shopping Talbots for classic wardrobe staples and I always find pieces I love that fit my style. Talbots carries tall sizing in many of their jeans and pants, so it’s always a great place for me to check out.

Here’s some pictures from our weekend and I wore some great Talbots pieces I found for this fall season.

Modern Classic Fall Staples

Jeggings I needed to replace some old jeans in my wardrobe and Talbots had a great dark denim wash jeggings that comes in tall sizing. These are so comfortable and high waisted. Love that there isn’t any back gap when I sit in them too. They will be perfect for road trips, weekend wear, and wanting to be cozy at home.

Soft Turtleneck I always have an assortment of turtlenecks for fall and winter and realized I did not have a cream one to go with the earthy tones of fall. This cream turtleneck sweater is as soft as they come and fitted but not too tight. It’s a cotton blend and lays and feels like a sweater weave. I love the 3 buttons on the cuff too. The arms are plenty long enough if you are on the taller side like me.

Car Coat Another item on my list this year, was a midweight car coat. I wanted something to my knee and just to knock the breeze or chill off on a crisp morning. I love this rust camel quilted midlength jacket ! It is tailored through the middle so buttoned it lays great too, but not too tight through the hips. The rust camel color is warm and pairs perfect with that soft cream turtleneck sweater. I’ll be wearing it all season long to soccer games, road trips, and morning walks. The quilting and outer material has a silk feeling to the touch.

Leopard Flats I wear a lot of flats in the fall and my leopard pair had seen better days! I found these darling calf hair leopard flats while shopping Talbots and love them. The perfect slip on and go flat and they compliment a neutral and warm fall look.

Shop the Post

This week, I’m putting together a post of my favorite charming roadside pumpkin patches here in Connecticut. I’ve found so many good ones that make the perfect day trip over the past 5 years.

I’d like to thank Talbots for outfitting me so beautifully for fall in some of my wardrobe staples. Talbots is a brand I shop and love. All opinions are my own.

Until next time,

Kristy
