Winter in Our Living Room

I know I’ve said it before, but I’m going to say it again. I love how our homes ebb and flow with each season. We keep our Christmas tree and decorations up until at least New Year’s Day in our home. Here in Connecticut, we are in the thick of winter by then, so I like to cozy up our interiors even more once the holiday decor is packed away.

With the holidays being so brilliantly bright and colorful, which of course I adore, I do tend to crave neutrals once bright pops of crimson and greenery are packed away for the quiet and cozy season here. Here’s some subtle changes I made to our living room to cozy it up for winter. I have a thread of coastal influence woven throughout our spaces, and I love how leather, tweeds, and window pane patterns set a moodier tone while still complimenting the existing style and foundation of our room.

Here’s our living room here at Foxhill House in the winter…

The main changes I made to our living room for winter are the new windowpane rug, the tufted ottomans, the tweed and neutral pillows, and the coffee table books I display on our ottoman.
