Fall Transitional Finds

It’s not Fall Y’all but…

I am excited to see some fall collections hit some of my favorite small shops and retailers. Today, I wanted to put together a few things that have caught my eye and will make great transitional pieces. Are you back in the office or back teaching in the classroom? If so, some of these will be great for the office or classroom too.

There’s a few things I always look for once fall collections start making their debut. Trench coats, leather loafers, quality sweaters or cardigans, transitional dresses, fall bags and workout clothes.

Depending on the year, I usually have to replace a few things. This year, I’m hunting for loafers, because the ones I have loved for years are too tight where I had surgery and I can’t wear them anymore.

This dress arrived last week and it’s a great weekend dress for now through fall. It has pockets and is lined. A tad of a western vibe if you like that look.

Hunting for Jeans

I am trying to find some jeans that fit well for my tall frame and I’ll report back on these. This is always the hardest thing for me to find. If you want to the tall scoop, I’ll let you know when they come in. These all come in regular lengths too. I find myself returning to places I haven’t shopped in 20 some years since high school and college. I’m re-visiting Gap & Abercrombie since I have heard good things on them carrying tall lengths in cute styles. I’m skeptical, but we’ll see…

Recent Find

When I was in J. Crew this week, I saw this sweater in person and it is so cute! I love the weave and fit. It looks even better than the pictures online. I am going to bring it on vacation for a layer over sleeveless dresses if the nights get cool and it will be a great one to mix into my fall wardrobe.

More next week!
