Let’s summer on…
We are just a couple of weeks away from our family summer vacation up at the lake. We like to take a week at the end of the summer right before school starts to enjoy this time with the entire family. The place we go has so much to do and it’s nice to unplug and play all day and dress up for dinners and dockside gatherings.
Once our anniversary and Labor Day weekend is over, we are back in the really busy season for everyone. One back at college, one back in school and sports. Games, functions, lots of family birthdays and a heavier workload will be here soon. All of this just seems to hit all at once every September. It’s such a good busy, but it does make us really treasure the somewhat slower pace of summer.
Here’s what is going in my suitcase for our summer vacation. A few new things, but I like to rewear my summer outfits I have loved the most from the season on this trip. A lot of things I’ve had for years end up going with me too. I won’t have many more days besides our anniversary weekend to dress up resort chic for dinners before I’m switching my wardrobe over to fall once again. The mornings here lately have felt like fall, which has been kind of amazing, but a harbinger of the cooler days ahead.
