The magic of another New England summer is upon us! It’s exciting to see businesses start to reopen and hotels planning on welcoming guests soon. The hospitality industry is such a huge part of the New England experience and there is an excitement in the air this week with every open date that is shared. I can’t wait to visit some of my favorite places once again and discover new ones to love and support.

My Friday is swamped, that’s why you are getting this post a day early, but we are ready for another laid back weekend here come Saturday. No planning, just seeing where the weekend takes us. It’s nice to have those down times once in a while.

Here’s my WeekENDer post for this Friday…

Epicurious in the Kitchen

We just had our first lobster boil of the season at home and I used this method and the lobster turned out PERFECT!!! See full instructions here. Honestly, it was better than some lobster meals I’ve had at lobster shacks. Also, we had fresh Maine lobsters just delivered to our fish market, so that could have been another contributing factor.

I am on a hydrangea junkie, so…

I grew up in a baseball loving family. My Dad was a great player, my brother went to college on a baseball scholarship, and now my Dad runs a card shop. It was part of my childhood and I love to read about America’s pastime.

My first trip to the Ocean House sparked an interest in its history and how the Royce family saved it from ruin. Could we imagine Rhode Island without this coastal jewel?

There’s No Place Like Home

I always enjoy planning out a table for a lovely meal. Mystic Knotwork has some great coastal napkin rings and more entertaining goodies. I need to stock up for summer picnics and soirees!

Have a wonderful weekend! I’ll be back next week with some more New England travel, style, and living.

Until next time,
