The WeekENDer
E D I T I O N
no. 1
Happy Friday! Now that I am able to blog Monday-Friday, I wanted to put together a little “get ready for the weekend” series. So here’s the first WeekENDer installment for your leisurely weekend reading and planning.
Cause to Celebrate
Mother’s Day is this Sunday and I have NO IDEA what the boys have in store for me this year—especially under our unusual circumstances. If you need some last minute gift ideas check out this post.
Epicurious in the Kitchen
Salad every night…We’ve been grilling a lot of our dinners now that the weather has been consistently nicer here in Connecticut. I’ve been pairing whatever Topher is grilling with a lovely spring salad. I tried out these healthy salad dressing recipes and love them! The first one is perfect for a garden salad.
WeekENDer Style Pick
The perfect weekend shirt…This weekend’s style pick is this Rochelle Behrens top —perfect to pair with white jeans or shorts for a great, laid back weekend look. You could pop it over a tank too, for days when you want layers and a little sun.
No Place Like Home
Sternlines has a great blog called Anchored Ashore authored by writers and bloggers who share the lifestyle. They just published their first post of the season and it’s about gardening which is perfect because we were just talking about it today. I’ll be contributing some travel content for this series starting this summer and I am excited to share it with you too.
Aerin on sale… A lot of Aerin pieces are on sale at Williams Sonoma right now up to 60% off. I adore the linen prints and all the blue and white pieces.
For Your Eyes & Ears Only
New Podcasts and Books to Read…Lately, I’ve been listening to podcasts on my morning walks and Elsa just shared some of her favorites that I can’t wait to listen to next week.
Also, Patricia Mae Maristch, who has her own PR firm and blog, just started a podcast interviewing brands, businesses, and influencers who are keeping the modern preppy lifestyle alive called The Preppy Podcast. I listened to a couple this week and they are really good.
