We just celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary with a fun getaway in Mystic, CT. We enjoyed some antiquing, apparel shopping, and a lovely dinner at S&P Oyster. The weather was just perfection (unlike our wedding day- ha,ha!) so we booked some time on the water with Mystic River Cruises. If you are planning a trip to Mystic in September or October, this would be a great boating experience for you to add to your activities. We loved our time on the water with Captain Eric and it was a perfect way to celebrate.
Once we got out onto the open water, we popped that wine and took in all the sights. We chose to go out to see Morgan Point Lighthouse and some islands for our route. It was a treat to get so close to the lighthouse since it is privately owned. You can also choose to stay more inland and cruise by the Mystic Seaport and get some great history that way too.

We are keeping this one in the rotation for visits to Mystic! Captain Eric offers fall boating complete with warm cider and cider donuts…sounds like a plan!
